Matriculation

1、未確認指導教授前，其課程修習由博士班主任指派行政導師認可。

Prior to confirming a thesis advisor, course selection and study planning shall be approved by an administrative advisor assigned by the Director of the Doctoral Program.

2、新生於入學後第2學年開學時，配合學校當年度抵免時間辦理抵免。 

First-year students shall apply for course credit transfer at the beginning of their second academic year, in accordance with the University’s designated credit transfer schedule for that year.

3、必修科目之抵免得提前於入學時，由辦公室辦理抵免認定。

Credit transfer for required courses may be processed upon admission and shall be evaluated and approved by the Program Office in advance.

修習必選修課程

Taking the Required & Selective Courses

1、博士生至少應修滿30學分，其中本院科目至少21學分。

Doctoral students are required to complete a minimum of 30 credits, of which at least 21 credits must be taken from courses offered by the College.

2、入學後一學年內修畢必修科目，但補修或重修者不在此限。

Required courses shall be completed within the first academic year after enrollment; however, this requirement does not apply to remedial or retaken courses.

3、博士生必修科目「傳播理論研究」及「方法論」先修課程分別為本院任一理論及方法類群課程，先修科目不得列入畢業學分。先修科目不得與必修科目同學期修習。

For the required doctoral courses “Advanced Communication Theory” and “Research Methodology,” the prerequisite courses are any theory-related and methodology-related courses offered by the College, respectively. Prerequisite courses shall not be counted toward graduation credits, and they may not be taken in the same semester as the required courses.

4、先修科目之免修得提前於入學時，由辦公室辦理免修認定。

Exemption from prerequisite courses may be applied for upon enrollment and shall be reviewed and approved by the Program Office in advance.

5、前兩學年每學期修習學分數，不得多於12學分，不得少於6學分(先修學分可計入)，但學分數已修滿者不受此限。

During the first two academic years, students must register for no more than 12 credits and no fewer than 6 credits per semester (including prerequisite credits). Students who have already completed all required credits are exempt from this regulation.

6、博士生修習碩學合開課程，不予採認畢業學分；修習碩士班課程、語言課程或非本院開課課程，需經行政導師(或指導教授)及主任同意始得列入畢業學分，且須於當學期加退選結束前完成認定，否則不予採計為畢業學分。

Courses jointly offered with master’s programs shall not be counted toward graduation credits. For master’s-level courses, language courses, or courses not offered by the College, credits may be counted toward graduation requirements only with the approval of the administrative advisor (or thesis advisor) and the Program Director. Such approval must be completed before the end of the add/drop period of the semester; otherwise, the credits will not be recognized toward graduation requirements.
