詳細資訊請見下方英文說明:

Dr. Lucy Atkinson is an Associate Professor in the School of Advertising and Public Relations at the Moody College of Communication, University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on environmental communication, sustainability, and climate change, particularly how message characteristics, such as visual elements, argument framing, and source factors, influence environmental attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in leading journals, including Journal of Advertising, Environmental Communication, Science Communication, New Media & Society, Health Communication, and Risk Analysis. She serves on the editorial boards of Environmental Communication and Science Communication and has secured more than $8 million in research funding from government and industry sources. Her recent projects examine environmental justice, community resilience, and the use of emerging technologies, including AI, augmented reality, and virtual reality, in environmental and science communication.

Dr. Atkinson will offer individual consultation sessions on November 25 (sign up here), lead the “Qualitative Research Design & Development Workshop” (register here), and serve as a mentor for the 115-1 cohort of award recipients in the UAAT Student Research Fellowship Program (program information). These activities offer our graduate students valuable opportunities to receive personalized research guidance and engage with an internationally recognized scholar.

We strongly encourage all graduate students in the College of Communication to take advantage of these opportunities. Through individual consultations, the research workshop, and the fellowship program, students can receive valuable feedback on their research ideas, refine their research designs, and further develop their research projects. We look forward to your active participation!
